Prior to the main meeting, we will hold a polarised neutron school at the ISIS facility. This will run on the 1st and 2nd July, and will include introductory lectures on polarised neutron techniques and instrumentation as well as hands on practical training on polarised neutron instruments. The course will cover reflectometry, diffraction, small angle scattering, inelastic scattering and spin-echo techniques.
The school will be open to graduate students and post-doctoral researchers who have some knowledge of neutron scattering and who seek additional training in polarised neutrons. The school should provide students with the necessary background for the PNCMI conference later in the week. There will be no fee for the school - and accommodation will be provided on site.
Registration information for the school will be posted here shortly.
